Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you create an account, start a trial, buy a subscription or otherwise use Read Write Arabic. By creating an adult account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

2. Adult and child accounts

Subscriptions are managed by an adult parent or guardian. The adult account holder is responsible for child profiles created under the account, for keeping account credentials secure and for ensuring the service is used appropriately.

Child profiles are for learning use and are not intended to be independent marketing accounts. We do not use child profile details for direct marketing.

3. Trials and subscriptions

Where a free trial is offered, the length and billing date shown during signup apply. If payment details are collected for a trial, billing begins after the trial unless you cancel before the stated renewal date. Current prices, billing frequency and included features are shown on the pricing and checkout pages.

Subscriptions may be monthly or annual. You are responsible for keeping payment information current. We may change future pricing or plan features, but we will provide notice where required and will not retrospectively alter a completed payment.

4. Payments and cancellation

Payments are processed through our payment provider. You can cancel a recurring subscription so that it does not renew. Cancellation does not normally erase learning records immediately, and access may continue until the end of the paid period unless the checkout or cancellation flow says otherwise.

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under applicable consumer law.

5. Educational service

Read Write Arabic provides structured educational content and practice tools. Learning outcomes depend on many factors, including participation and practice, so we do not guarantee a particular grade, fluency level or educational result.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, scrape or copy substantial parts of the service, upload malicious material, abuse other users, or use the service in a way that breaks applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

The Read Write Arabic platform, lessons, exercises, illustrations, software, branding and original content are protected by intellectual-property rights. Your subscription gives you a personal, limited right to use the service; it does not transfer ownership of our content or software.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but maintenance, security work, provider outages and technical faults can cause interruptions. We may improve, replace or remove features as the product develops, while respecting any rights that apply to paid services.

9. Suspension or closure

We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for security, suspected fraud, serious misuse, non-payment or material breach of these terms. We will act proportionately and provide notice where appropriate.

10. Liability

We do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Read Write Arabic is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or business losses where the service is purchased as a consumer learning product.

11. Marketing choices

Marketing email consent is separate from accepting these terms. You can use the service without agreeing to marketing emails. Adults who opt in can withdraw that choice at any time. See our Email Practices page.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules that apply where you live are not excluded by this clause.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version and date are shown at the top of this page. We will provide additional notice where a material change requires it.
